If your thoughts are public domain then having what we submit on a website seems reasonable. If, however, there exists a profit potential, then I submit that this may not be what we want to do. Further, if profit is a consideration, I suggest that we consider some form of agreement if not incorporation. Just a thought. This is an important topic. My understanding is that this group is a forum for support and encouragement of individuals who want to create children's literature with certain goals and values in mind. It's possible that out of this, collaborative authorship efforts may arise. I am not willing to enter into an incorporation agreement without knowing a lot more about the details of such an entity. Even so, I must say that I'm reluctant to embrace this idea in principle... there is a big difference between writing _about_ doing something and actually doing it, and I think only those individuals who actually create and sell a product should profit from it. I also trust the integrity of the individuals here not to plagiarize others' ideas and stories that are shared within this forum. On the topic of creating a web site for private use, Win, I don't see that as particularly helpful for me, so that counts as a "no" vote to expend effort in that direction. I can see where it'd be helpful for others, perhaps... > But the tug toward political-economic discussion may be another good reason to put forwardmost the focus of showing children HOW rather than what to perceive and think. This is precisely what I'm thinking... teaching tools for a lifetime's use rather than information that can be wrong or become outdated. There are lots of ways to go about this, depending upon the age level we're talking about.
