I am also a commerial lobsterman. I am married to Dorothy and our daughter, Elizabeth, is entering her senior year at some overpriced college in Cambridge, Ma. My connection to g.s. started with a 5 week summer course in 1965 at Notheastern University. Some of it stuck because when the first wave of curriculum reform hit the high schools in 1970, I decided to write a semester elective called Introduction to Semantics. The first year I stayed a day ahead of the kids. They graduated but I didn't. I remained and learned more. The course has withstood "back to basics" and other reforms and remains popular. More than 5000 students (including Elizabeth) have been exposed to my interpretation of g.s. Next year I have 6 sections and Dorothy has 2. She started teaching the course 4 years ago. 28 years of marriage will do that to you.
