>Date: 15 Jul 95 08:05:09 EDT >From: Michel DUSSANDIER <100427.2672@compuserve.com> Bio, dated 15 july 1995. Michel Dussandier, 34, single. Born in France. French-speaking guy with a little knowledge in english. I studied agriculture (High school level), but worked as a programmmer and analyst for 10 years in "management". I try to create a small publishing company Very concerned with gs (July 95) I discovered gs in Van Vogt's "Null-A" books 5 years ago, and in Michel Saucet's book "La semantique generale aujourd'hui" (gs today). I became member of ISGS in 1990. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I have different ideas/projects in mind at this time. Among them: - A list of the acronyms and special characters used here (=lumina) please send me the acronyms you use/know. I'll collect/sort them and they will surely find a place somewhere on the Web (and/or in the FAQ) - About gs usefulness in Personal situations This is a mere idea. May be we could collect datas in a sort of 'before/after" method about the evolution of the perception of a similar event. The datas could be: What Was Going On ( WWGO before, without gs ) and What Is Going On ( WIGO Now... With gs "in mind" ) The experience that gave me this idea is this: - WWGO I remember the last time i tried to climb onto a ladder (15-20 years ago ?) I was terrified; with shaking knees, etc. - WIGO I had the opportunity to do this last sunday, But nothing like this happened. I felt just a little anxiety. One problem could be: Does gs influence this behavior's change? If yes, to what extent? But may be these questions are not "good" questions... If we consider that gs have these kind of perceptions/reactions as its main subjet of study, and if these perceptions/reactions really change when trying to practice gs, may be we could say that this practice "is" really effective. But this need DATAS... If you have such a datas, may be we could build the " What GS can do to you " book (or web page, etc.) Or may be this already exists ? Or may be it could induce the reactions of the audience looking to the guy who had no hairs before and a nice wall-to-wall carpet on the head after he used The Miracle Hair Grow Liquid (???) : That's advertising !... - The third idea ( and last for now ) is a computer game. Basically, it would be based on different situations. For every situation presented, the player have to answer a question (or more) about what s/he perceived of it. The program could ask different types of questions: - (as in the uncritical inference test (xxx happended. Is it True? False? Don't know ?) - Multivalued (How do you estimate the probability for xxx : 0% 25% 50% 75% 100% ) - Fact/inference (xxx said yyy. Could we consider it as the expression of a fact or as an inference?) - etc. (?) The program will drive the player to a new situation that depend on his/her answer... The goal of it could be to attain an objective without violence, with cooperation... That's too big for me to DO it, but it's the idea... Salut ! Michel.
